Sad to see Bev go

I WANTED to write after seeing your article entitled ‘Bev Bows Out’.

Bev has always been family orientated, I’ve known her for many years and a councillor and MP.

She’s always stood by people locally and worked to help us.

The people of Old Trafford will be sad to see her go.

They won’t welcome Mark Versallion’s comments though, let me tell you.

He could have been magnanimous, he could have paid tribute to the work Bev has done her over the past 12 years.

It wouldn’t ave been difficult and he would have gained respect for doing so. Instead he attacked her decision and cast aspersions on her reasons.

What a nasty charachter. He’s misjudged what respect people have for Bev, including friends of mine who aren’t Labour supporters.

I’m sorry to say I don’t think Mr.Versallion will be welcome in Old Trafford with an attitude like that.
