Safe to say they have mismanaged the economy

IF a government spends every penny in the kitty, puts in place about a 100 tax rises, raids pension funds, borrows hundreds of billions and then decides to forego normal economic sanity, once their borrowing has reached melt-down point, by spending even more money that we don’t have using the Private Finance Initiative – which has almost bankrupted several NHS Trusts as they struggle to meet the high costs of it – and then spends every penny accrued to achieve, in reality, very little, it is safe to say that they have mismanaged the economy.
