Auf Wiedersehen Merkel
FOR Germany, who we defeated in two world wars and saved against Soviet aggression and helped unify by winning the Cold War, to tell the people of the UK that Brexit must be stopped is patronising, arrogant and disrespectful.
It also shows that the German establishment is terrified because the UK bank rolls the EU and is the key export market for its members.
Not anymore. Merkel who has one vote in three is worried; good. The reaction of the car makers and other German businesses if the UK has to match import duties will hit her heartland far more than ours.
