AS a disabled person I rely on the existing Stretford Leisure Centre as its smaller pool is accessible to me because of the wide steps at one end, where the water depth starts at an inch or two.
Other disabled people and parents with toddlers use this pool because of its easy access.
I don't know of another pool of this size with such easy access. This will be lost if Stretford Leisure Centre closes.
Societies show their real values in the way they behave to the old, the very young, and the disabled.
Trafford should be ashamed to even consider closing this pool which is so important to these very groups.
We are powerless - don't take advantage of this fact to grasp at a proposal which may bring money into the borough.
