I read Ms Probert’s letter with astonishment.
Ms Probert has the freedom to express her views only because of the UK and the English speaking world.
The UK and formerly England have liberated a dysfunctional Europe time and again. The French were globally kicked out of nation after nation by England, as were Spain and others and yet when the people of Europe, of which we are not a part, needed help to save them the English and then the UK and the Commonwealth rode in; Crecy, Agincourt, the Armada, War of Spanish Succession, Seven Years War, Napoleonic War, Great War, WW2 and the Cold War and others.
Merkel and her cronies do not believe in freedom or democracy and the European establishment resent and fear England and the UK.
We should invoice them for their freedom and then once again become a global trading success in a world that speaks English and not German or French.
If Ms Probert wants to live in a nation where the electorate have no say and those they vote for are unable to have any redress can I suggest she moves from Hale to Hamburg. We are the greatest nation and people in the world and that is why I helped lead the Brexit campaign to victory.
