FOLLOWING my re-election to Parliament last week, may I take the opportunity through your paper to thank the voters of Stretford and Urmston constituency, who have placed their trust in me to serve again as their Member of Parliament.
During the campaign, we faced the most appalling terrorist attacks on our values and way of life, at the Manchester Arena and in London. I pay tribute to all those who came out to vote to protect our values of democracy and freedom.
A hung parliament means we face a period of great uncertainty and challenge over the coming months, but I pledge that my priority will always be to serve the interests of local people. I am honoured to have been re-elected.
Kate Green
Labour Member of Parliament for Stretford and Urmston
