HAVING read Allan Simpson's letter, (Saddened By DIY Closure), I've been moved to write, via Messenger to express a sincere and well deserved thank you to Allan, John and Steve Simpson for their many, many years of truly first class service to me personally and on behalf of the generations of other customers that regularly visited Jacks DIY to satisfy their DIY needs.
Being not a naturally gifted DIYer, I frequently spoke to Allan about any proposed DIY project asking relevant questions as to how to go about the task and what tools I'd need. I never felt embarrassed as Allan, (or John or Steve), understood my limitations and always provided easy to follow instructions and best advice as to the tools required. I really cannot recall any disasters. All the tasks were completed to my satisfaction and, more importantly to my wife's satisfaction.
Given that over many years Trafford has had all the large branded household DIY stores within easy reach, it is testament to Jacks DIY to have in excess of fifty highly successful years trading.
Boys, enjoy your well deserved happy and long retirement. You have earned it. Thank you for all your kind and greatly appreciated help.
