Garden waste and pothole problems solved at a stroke!
May I suggest that that all Trafford residents simply get rid of their garden waste by placing it carefully in the potholes in most of the roads in Trafford.
This would create a win-win situation in that we would not only see a reduction in the queues at the recycling centres for several years, but we would also have ready-made allotments in which we could grow cabbages on all the main roads, and tomato plants on the side roads.
In respect of the latter, I think Moneymaker is a perfect variety.
On a practical basis, all that Trafford would need to do is to put up about 5,000 “Diversion” signs, as we certainly wouldn’t want any traffic on our new allotments.
