I WAS appalled to read the article on the front page of the Messenger (Call to axe headteacher).
It seems to me that it was a personal vendetta to get rid of the headmistress.
Surely the teachers’ grievances should have been aired behind closed doors and not put out to public vote to incite mass hysteria.
Judging by the numbers involved, it looks like many parents were included but surely that cannot be beneficial to the pupils themselves and is very unprofessional of the teachers to do so.
Presumably there were several dedicated members of staff who will have chosen bravely to go through the picket line in order to keep the school running and to do what they are trained to do and educate children.
I hope that members of Trafford Council or the school’s board of governors have asked these professional teachers their opinion in this fiasco. I know which camp I would vote for had I had the opportunity to do so. I am 100 per cent behind the headmistress and her dedicated team.
