I notice that the signage on the approaches to the Stamford New Road war zone, warning that delays were "possible" until December 2016, has now had the that date covered over with black tape.
Alas, there is no replacement date shown.
In any event "possible" should have read "inevitable".
The powers that be have never really stated the thinking (if any) behind these disruptive works.
As far as I can see, we have traffic calming measures in place on a road where speed was never an issue, due to the close proximity of three sets of traffic lights which do not appear to be co-ordinated in any way!
It is time that the council gave all of us unfortunate enough to live and work in Altrincham an update on the "progress" so far, and a clear picture of what they hope to have achieved when the chaos is over.
