To Graham Brady MP,

I was somewhat bewildered to see that you were one of the MPs to vote to turn away 3,000 unaccompanied Syrian children. As you are an MP of a relatively wealthy constituency in the UK, I am left disheartened and perplexed at the way you chose to vote.

However here I am seeking to understand. I would really welcome the information on which you based your decision to vote against such a humanitarian act.

I am prepared to listen and seek to understand in order to soothe my heart which feels as if it is breaking, when as a country we turn our privileged backs on those in such desperate need.

And I so hope that our children are never in such a position, as who now would ever take in the English.
