THERE have been letters to the Messenger about the state of some of our parks and green spaces.
Where we live is important and we should be proud of our open spaces but a photo of the state of Trafford Town Hall gardens reflects badly on the council and demonstrates how little it cares about our environment.
This sad picture says it all - neglect, an uncaring council, and this picture is reflected across the borough in our parks.
What kind of message does this send out to visitors from around the country and to our resident I have been a Trafford councillor for 26 years and have never seen the town hall gardens in such an appalling state before, in fact they have always been an attraction .
We have won awards for our parks and gardens and Trafford succeeding many times winning 'Trafford in Bloom' and winning awards at the Tatton show.
This Trafford Conservative council has a lot to answer for, in many services, but I know through my meetings with Friends groups and the concerned public that they will not be forgiven for allowing our parks and green spaces to deteriorate to this state .
