I would like to thank the Committee of the Altrincham Islamic Centre who, together with the Committee of the Mayor of Trafford’s Charity Fund, organized the Community Fun Day in Grove Park, Hale, on Saturday May 28 and raised around £3,500 to be given to Age UK Trafford and The Christie Charitable Fund.
Hundreds of Trafford Residents and their families attended on this day which included fairground rides, face painting, BBQs, donkey rides, go-karting and other amusements and stalls, all of which combined to ensure a great time was had by all. Thanks also to the police and the fire service who also attended and joined in the fun.
This was an excellent example of the whole community in the south of Trafford joining together for an enjoyable charitable event which will ultimately benefit the Mayor of Trafford’s chosen charities.
