ON April 20, I managed to completely overbalance on my bike when stopping at a junction by Sale Metrolink Station - and fell over.

Needless to say I was more than a bit embarrassed by my clumsiness but two young girls came rushing over to check that I was OK.

I was feeling a bit flustered at the time so don't think I really thanked them properly at the time but I really appreciated their genuine kindness and would like to thank them for it, so I hope they or someone they know will see a printed thank you.

Also thanks go to the people sitting outside the pub opposite, firstly for not openly mocking me even though it must've been pretty funny to watch, but also calling out to check that I was all right.

And, of course, I must recognise the patience of the drivers who I got in the way of during the course of this, and afterwards when I rode away as I was struggling to concentrate a bit after wh at had happened and am sure I wasn't cycling very sensibly in those few minutes.
