In response to the letter regarding the front of The Curzon Buildings I must strongly protest to how the building is being singled out!

As owners of the building we do everything in our power to maintain the façade of the building and at certain times, the day after a function mainly, there are cigarette dimps on the floor.

We have tried installing a cigarette bin in the past but vandalism has meant we will not throw good money after bad, in replacing such items.

To counter this a member of staff sweeps the outside area three times a week to minimise the effect of visitors to the building that use the front to smoke.

This is the first complaint to be made against us in the 16 years we have operated as a dance studio, and we do not sell take away food like pizza, chips, kebabs and that ilk.

It is youths that on occasion sit on our front step and leave half eaten food and cans of beer and pop for the children that arrive the following day to avoid, we clean this mess up too and still we wonder why we have been singled out for complaint.
