My mum, Mary Blackburn BEM, known to many affectionately as ‘Scary Mary’, sadly passed away some six weeks ago now.
Over 300 people attended her funeral and I must have received in excess of 100 cards and letters.
So many people have been so kind and supportive to my family throughout mum’s illness and after her death.
In particular, we would like to thank the amazing team at Wythenshawe hospital on both A4 and A6 who looked after Mum so well during her illness, especially ward nurse, Julie Parks and mum’s consultant Mr Baraza.
Sincere thanks too to the team at St Mary's Church Bowdon, lead by Sue Redford, Bishop Graham Dow and to all of those cricketers from Timperley Cricket Club who have been so supportive.
There are just too many names to mention but to my friends, new friends and all, we are very grateful.
So many people remember mum so fondly.
