On Tuesday Janaury 19, I was attacked by two manic gun dog types in Warwick Road and the larger one managed to bite trough my left hand.

I returned home for immediate attention and then walked to Altrincham General Hospital where I was seen within 15 minutes and received first class treatment.

The charge nurse advised me to contact the police and they have been superb in responding quickly and in a supportive way.

I was lucky but had it been a child it would have been different as these unmuzzled hounds had death in their eyes.

The hospital and police have been superb in helping me, a man registered blind, overcome three seconds of hell.
