WE are incensed at the proposal to downgrade Trafford General's urgent care centre to a minor injuries unit.

If, as many of us believe, we will have to travel to hospitals outside the area for an A&E department, how do these so called experts expect us to get out of Trafford in an emergency with our clogged up road system.

That is in the quiet period, God forgive if we have to try in the rush hours, Christmas, Event City events, the list goes on.

As well as looking at the hospital, have these people even looked or considered the time it would take to reach another hospital not to mention further congestion, co2 emissions etc?

This is a ludicrous proposal and could result in many more unnecessary deaths in Trafford.
