How depressing it is to read your letters page.
Depressing that I should live amongst such rabid 'little Englanders' and depressing that your paper should print such extreme views, without any attempt to balance the argument.
You give voice to people who think that opponents to fracking are all 'professional layabouts', people who repeat the same simplistic and distorted arguments against EU membership, who are totally unwilling to acknowledge the benefits to the economy, national security or worker's and women's rights.
And last but by no means least, we have the usual rants about immigration 'changing the face of our population' and 'not embracing British culture', with barely a mention of the huge contribution immigration has made to our economy and culture.
In these days of austerity life is depressing enough without having to read this offensive nonsense.
Please SAM, you can do better than this!
