EVERY year I submit Chatsworth Road in Lostock to the council's highways dept as my number one priority within Gorse Hill Ward for resurfacing.

The best I've achieved is some haphazard patching of occasional potholes there.

It's a well used route. I've talked to residents who drive it regularly, particularly from Davyhulme and Flixton. and all have agreed that the road is the worse for wear. I'm inclined to believe that for cyclists the road is much worse. There is some evidence to suggest that the cyclist is forced off their natural course by the fractured surface causing them to weave.

I am therefore calling for evidence from cyclists who've used Chatsworth Road as to their experience of it. It would be great if you could post your anecdotes onto the Gorsehill-Labour website so that I can make a stronger case to the Council.
