SOME years ago I saw 'Sunset Boulevard' at the Manchester Palace Theatre.
It was, for me, one of those outstanding professional shows, a show that I have never forgotten. Having just seen the Garrick production of 'Sunset Boulevard', it in my opinion surpassed the show I first saw at the Palace.
From beginning to end, the entire Garrick cast delivered a passionate and perfect showstopper. No surprise for me when they received a standing ovation.
The glitz and glamour of the Hollywood fashions was a total triumph for the wardrobe department, and I congratulate them.
Tying all the theatrical threads together was the unbeatable combination of the magnificent musicians and the stylish scenery.
Don't let the sun set on this terrific show; go along and be dazzled.
