AN artist is born with every breath.

When God gives the breath of life, along with it he breathes in the power of creativity to every being on earth, living or non- living. The dance of life is everywhere. We live in a land of wonders and magic all around us. It is God’s paradise on earth.

This magic unfolds as the mind quietens. The silence within starts to see, smell, hear and feel the beauty around us. There is a rhythm that will touch one’s heart. When the rhythm within resonates with the rhythm outside, the feet will dance, the dance of eternity.

See the snail softly and slowly leaving a silvery trail on mother earth, telling her of all the hugs it gave her on the path it took.

It smiles and feels grateful that it can carry its own home on its back. The gold fish twist and glide giving endless kisses to onlookers. Silently, the flower blossoms, with a firework of colours and fragrances. The leaves of the trees whisper and wave to all passersby. The water has its own melody as it flows, bouncing up and down in fun and frolic.

What happened to mankind? Where did we get lost? We started living in our mind and dreams, more so than our own inner, quieter being. Instead of being we started becoming.

There was a language; a language of the heart. It was spoken in the gestures, conveyed by the instruments of hands and eyes. They were of love, compassion, kindness, care, humility and gratitude. It was a silent language. It needed no words. Mankind flourished and nourished in this deeply profound and fulfilling silence.

This got replaced by clutter and noise of the mind within and without.

This silent language is still expressed by children in words. It flows from the heart pure and simple like a pearl. A child who could not complete his paper in time wrote, 'to be continued'.

Another stated, “that the train of the princess gown was so long, that one could hide a crocodile in its folds.”And the best so far,” dear friend, please come and stay with me, we will have fun and food, followed by a visit to the dentist to get your teeth checked.”

God’s forgotten language is waiting to express itself. All we need to do is look within.
