I USE the Bridgewater Canal towpath regularly as both a cyclist and a jogger.
It is a beautiful area and we are very lucky to have it. Sustrans have done a great job in making it accessible for everyone.
However we all have to share it and be considerate to other users. Cyclists need to use their bells and slow down when approaching walkers.
Walkers and joggers, especially those like myself who wear headphones, need to be aware of their surroundings and of the fact that a bike may be behind them.
People with dogs or children need keep them under control so that other people can pass by.
If we all do this everyone can get some exercise and fresh air and enjoy this lovely area.
