TO the irresponsible dog owner walking past Vale Road Green in Timperley.

If you cannot control your dog whilst pushing your pram, you should not take your dog with you.

My wife and I were both scared as you allowed your large black Labrador to come bounding up to us barking and snarling.

You were more than 50ft away and made no attempt to call him back. We asked you to call him back, yet you chose not to, leaving me no option but to shout at the dog in an aggressive manner to get him to retreat slightly.

I find it unbelievable that you then became abusive towards me for shouting at your dog when, according to you, 'he is very soft'.

I do not know your dog and therefore cannot say whether or not he is soft. My first experience of him was a frightening encounter and therefore my judgement was that he was not soft.

I am glad we did not have our young children with us, as they would have been terrified. Why your dog was not on a lead, I have no idea.

If you cannot control your dog, you should not be allowed to keep one.

Grow up and take responsibility for both your and your dog's actions.
