I JUST want to raise some awareness regarding broken glass at the side of the TransPennine trail between Dainewell Park, Sale, and Woodcote Road in Timperley.
My dog has injured his paw quite badly on broken glass today and will need stitches. I believe the glass was dug up by people searching for old bottles etc. This stretch of trail appears to be very popular for this activity.
I've no problem with people doing this but I would ask that they are considerate and fill in the holes after they've completed their dig, making sure any sharps are buried as the stretch is also very popular with dog walkers.
It's not fair that my dog and possibly other dogs have to go through avoidable discomfort and pan.
