ON July 11 at about 3.30 in the afternoon, I was walking on the pavement at Nag's Head Circle.

I got as far as Bon Fabrics and the Coral betting shop.

The next thing I knew, a large transit van reversed into me and knocked me down.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to the people who were so kind and caring.

The lady from Bon Fabrics, the lady that stayed with me and held my head until the ambulance came, the man with a toddler who phoned for an ambulance.

Also the man who saw what had happened and banged on the side of the van to stop the driver.

If he had not stopped it at that point it would have gone over me.

I would like to ask if anybody else saw what happened and would be very grateful if they would contact me.
