WOW, the reply to Monica Moore’s letter this week sounded more of an attack on either her or the day care facility she was using.

I don't know Ms Moore, suffice to say she appeared to be merely commenting on a good day care service and making a valid point regarding doctors having a list of day care facilities to hand – which incidentally is a brilliant idea – that just seemed to open the door for Age UK to advertise.

We all know about Age UK, but maybe we want choice.

My relative, who lives in Timperley, went to Age UK, for a week or two, she doesn't now.

Different facilities offer different opportunities for people who need day care, don't belittle the diversity of our independent services.

Come on Joanna, are you saying that no one else but Age UK is trained in Dementia Care?

Being established for 20 years, doesn't make one better than any other.

Shouldn't we embrace and support all and every facility that helps us carers?
