I WOULD like to say a huge thank you to the amazing Trafford public on behalf of all the Greater Manchester marathon runners on April 6.
Running my first ever marathon, I was overwhelmed by the support and togetherness shown by so many people who had taken the time to come out and cheer us all on.
The organisers are quick to advertise that this is the 'friendliest marathon in the world' in which to enter, but after my own personal experience, I can verify their claims.
I hope we have been able to inspire all generations who witnessed the event to take up running or simply to work hard to achieve their dreams, as they supported me and many others to achieve theirs.
A great advertisement for a great borough, good work everyone!
