A ship on the Manchester Ship Canal
LAST summer I dug up a Manchester Ship Canal button in my garden. I have tried very hard to locate the likes of this button on the internet but cannot find one exactly the same.
It has the two rampant lions leaning on an urn, as do most of the MSC buttons, but this button has a sailing ship on the lid of the urn and it also has the letters BG under the scroll under the urn.
On the rear it has J. Compton & Sons London. Can anyone help me with a date for this button please ?
