AFTER putting my grey wheelie bin out for collection I went to take it back into my garden to discover it had disappeared.
So I phoned the council to ask for a new one, only to be told I would have to pay £25 for the privilege of being able to get a new bin to replace my stolen one.
Imagine my shock at finding out that little nugget.
I pay my council tax to have my waste collected. I am forced by the council to use the different coloured bins, and if the wrong type of rubbish is in the wrong bin they won't collect it.
If the rubbish is left in bags they won't collect it. They refuse to come into my property to collect my bins, meaning I have to put the bin on a public footpath where it's basically there for anyone to take, then when it gets taken I have to pay to get a new one.
Please can someone explain to me how this is right?
No wonder people are stealing wheelie bins, who is going to pay to get a new one?
Absolutely disgusting. Beware people, there's thieves about.
