Warning over cost of police 101 calls
I WOULD like to warn readers that ringing the police number 101 (instead of 999) incurs a fee of 15p per call.
I was under the impression (as I imagine were many others) that 101 was a free number.
I think it is scandalous that the public should be charged, after being encouraged to use this number, when they need to call for police assistance.
