ON the weekend of March 22/23 I was admitted, in an emergency, to the Clinical Decisions Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital for an exploratory examination.

I must say that I would not have believed there could be such care, efficiency and thoughtful reassurance as was accorded to me. I'm sure that Her Majesty the Queen could not have received better attention.

The medical procedures, the cleanliness and the meals were all first class, while all the staff at this hospital, from the consultants to the lady serving the tea, deserve every recognition.

I think that we in this country should be eternally thankful for our NHS and particularly for such a fine hospital.

I am pleased to say that I was discharged after 24 hours feeling better and reassured with the treatment I had received.

My thanks to all concerned.
