ANN Greenwood, Messenger, (February 6 ‘Bikes are a danger’) has completely twisted my words.
I stated clearly that cycling on the pavement was illegal and I could not/would not defend it.
How has she therefore interpreted my letter as justifying it?
My point stands that safety on the roads needs to be improved and that too many people are being injured and killed on our roads.
Pedestrians, cyclists (and other motorists in increased insurance premiums) have all been victim to drivers who have been allowed to carry on driving even after accumulating sufficient points to warrant a ban.
