Why everyone must pay to park at hospital

RE: ‘Parking shock’ (Messenger Readers letters, February 7)

The law with regard to disabled people basically states that they must be treated equally to able bodied people, and not put at a disadvantage.

There is absolutely no reason why they should be provided free of charge with a facility [parking at Wythenshawe Hospital] that the rest of us have to pay for.

I don't wish to appear unsympathetic but the charges are a means of maintaining the parking facilities, and ALL users should pay in the same manner – or it should be free for all.
