Selma Blair has confessed she is a "hovering mother" who can't bear to leave her baby's side.
The Legally Blonde star - who gave birth to son Arthur Saint last July - has returned to work filming Charlie Sheen's new show Anger Management, but told People.com she is "really obsessed" with her son.
Selma said: "I never want to leave his side. I'm one of those hovering mothers and I know it's really important to have an independent child, so I'm trying to back off, but it's hard. I love him so much, and he's so funny and cute to me."
The 39-year-old actress has teamed up with Get Real For Kids, a non-profit organisation aimed at educating parents about food choices when it comes to feeding themselves and their children.
Despite often being surrounded by cameras, Selma revealed she does not hesitate over breast-feeding Arthur in public.
She said: "The only time he cries is if he's hungry. We all have nipples. I don't care who I offend; my baby wants to eat. If I can't get a cover over me quick enough, so be it."
The Hellboy star - who lives with Arthur's fashion designer father Jason Bleick - said she loves her son's "sweet" and "outgoing" personality.
Selma gushed: "He loves music, he loves to bang on the drums. He doesn't mind being teased, he's an adrenaline junkie. He likes to be thrown up in the air."
