A PACKED Bowdon rooms was treated to an afternoon of stunning entertainment yesterday when the live final of Messenger’s Talented Trafford took place.

The event, sponsored by J Davidson metal processors, attracted some seriously talented entries and the judging panel had its work cut out to arrive at the eventual winners.

Messenger editor Keith Morris said: “We knew from the audition videos that there were some very talented people out there but it was only when we got to see and hear them perform live that we realised just how good some of them really are.”

The 18-and-over category was won by Joanne Foster while the fiercely contested 17-and-under section was narrowly won by Thea Kate McQuade-Jones.

The event raised £576 for the Messenger-backed charity Hearts and Minds which is raising funds to build a specialist school for children with autism.
