Steve Diamond calls on Sale Sharks fans
12:00pm Monday 3rd September 2012 in Trafford Sport By Kate Banks, Reporter
SALE Sharks executive director of sport, Steve Diamond, has urged season ticket holders and all Sharks fans to make their presence known at the first home game of the season on September 8.
The Aviva premiership game against Saracens will be Sale’s first at their new Salford City Stadium home.
Diamond said: “We have moved to a state of the art modern facility and we are keen to carry the flag for professional rugby union in the North of England.
“We have had a great summer of sport including the Olympics and we, at Sale Sharks, want to start life in our new stadium with a big crowd and more importantly a noisy crowd.
“Season tickets are ahead of where they were last year and I want every season ticket holder to bring ONE extra fan with them for the Saracens game.
“By doing this they will be able to show what they have committed to by buying a season ticket and hopefully encourage their friend(s) to do the same."
He added that the club is offering many deals on season tickets this year and that any season ticket holder who brings a friend to Friday’s match will be entered ‘money can’t buy prize’ draw.
