Top of table clash falls victim to weather

THE much anticipated match between the league’s top two placed team fell victim to the inclement weather.
After winning the toss Grappenhall asked Bowdon to bat first ……. At the end of their 50 overs they had reached a below par score of 160-7.
Bowdon were indebted to a fine sixth wicket stand of 95 from Nick Murrills (51) and the ever reliable Jonny Gray (42).
Garry Burns was the pick of the bowlers finishing with 4-32.
The heavens then opened with both teams having to settle for seven points each.
