Brazilian flair comes to Trafford
11:29am Friday 15th June 2012 in Trafford Sport
BRAZIL’s world renowned footballing flair has come to Trafford.
The recently opened franchise of the Brazilian Soccer School teaches the technques and skills which have seen Brazil become the greatest footballing nation on earth.
The school is run by 25-year-old Milton Turner. A former professional footballer himself, Milton has played alongside Wayne Rooney in the Everton youth team and most recently for League One side Bury.
Milton said: “The school plays a Brazilian style of football which takes inspiration from some of the greats like Pele, Zico and Ronaldo.
“We use a smaller, heavier football and we look closely at developing close dribbling skills and ball control.
“You only need to look at the success of the England national team to realise that we need a change, I think the Brazilian way to play is the way forward for football in this country.”
The school is open to any child between the age of 5 and 18.
Sessions are run on a Monday at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, Marlborough Road, Bowdon 5-6pm and on a Wednesday at St Peter’s Church Assembly Rooms, Cecil Road, Hale between 5-6pm.
