Bridge club is on the lookout for members

STRETFORD Bridge Club's next series of courses for both beginners and improvers starts on April 24, 11am at the club, 66 Derbyshire Lane, Stretford.

More than 40 people took part in the last course and the club hopes to get as many again to learn about contract bridge.

In January, Flixton Bridge Club formally affiliated with Stretford Bridge Club. The link-up and new members attracted through the course has seen membership increase by 20 per cent this year to a total of 148.

As a result the club now has an extra weekly bridge session every Wedensday evening, starting at 7.30pm, and a 'sherry reception' and duplicate every third Saturday of the month, next one April 21.
