TIMPERLEY Cons' Andy Brownhill will take on Station's Ric Kiel on Monday in the final of the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League's Captain's Cup.

A night of knockout action began with a magnificent game between Darren Wood, of the Central Club, and Nigel Foster from the British Rail.

Foster took the first leg with some great throwing before Wood bounced back and hit a purple patch taking the next three legs to win the match.

Star of the night was young Jon Collins, from Budenburgs, who took on big-hitting Brownhill and in the first leg he was left with two darts to hit the bull.

His first dart went straight and true right in to the red bull so taking the first leg, but Brownhill’s form then kicked in and he took the other legs to win.

Kiel had a tough match against Paul Andrews, of the Cringlewood, and it went down to the wire going to 2-2.

In the deciding leg, it was a case of who could hit the bull first and it was Kiel who triumphed to secure his place in the final.

In the other semi-final, Wood faced Brownhill, and the latter’s form continued with a great victory.
