CAPTAIN Ric Clarke scooped both man-of-the-match awards for Urmston Hockey Club's men's seconds as they beat derby rivals Didsbury Northern 6-1 and lost 4-2 to a strong Rochdale seconds side in Division Five North South.
Clarke was joined on the Didsbury derby scoresheet by Owen Monk (two), Lewis Monk, Stuart Higginbottom and Richard Gorman.
In the Rochdale loss, Lewis Monk netted with Dan Downes also striking for the Greens.
Man-of-the-match Stefan Wasilewski hit a hat-trick as the men’s firsts hammered Lytham St Anne’s firsts 9-2 in Division Two West.
The in-form team have now netted 24 goals in two games with Charlie Weems and Andy Lowe also scoring alongside braces for Brad Bates and Andy Power.
Elsewhere, the ladies’ firsts fell 4-0 to Wilmslow first in Division Two South West, Oldham seconds downed the ladies’ seconds 3-1 in Division Three and Timperley men’s sixths beat Urmston men’s thirds 5-3 in Division Eight South East.
