ANDY Power scored five as Urmston Hockey Club's men’s firsts beat beleaguered Lancaster and Morecambe men’s firsts 15-0 in Division Two West on Saturday.
The emphatic win was the second-highest victory in the club’s history with Sean Barrett also scoring a hat-trick.
Man-of-the-match Charlie Weems capped his masterful midfield performance with a rare goal, with Stefan Wasilewski and Tom Hughes netting braces alongside strikes from Matt Podmore and Steve Brittle.
There were smiles across the weekend with the men’s thirds running out 6-1 winners against Alderley Edge men’s sevenths in Division Eight South East, the ladies’ firsts beating University of Manchester ladies’ firsts 4-0 in Division Two South West and the ladies’ seconds beating Rochdale firsts 3-1 in Division Three.
