CAPTAIN Moe Rothwell hit four goals for the second week running as Urmston Hockey Club’s ladies’ seconds beat Glossop firsts 12-0 in Division Three.
She was joined on the scoresheet by a four-goal haul for Becky Dean, a hat-trick for Charlotte O’Toole and a goal for Kelly Davies who split the players’ player vote with Rothwell.
Carolyn Barratt earned the opposition’s player honour with a superb defensive display at the heart of a strong team performance.
Martin Smith scored for the men’s fourths as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Didsbury Northern sevenths.
Smith’s goal came from strong attacking work from man-of-the-match Drew Ilsley and Cornelius Carey, while Evan Renshaw shone in a brilliant defensive performance.
Five different players notched for the men’s seconds as they beat Bolton thirds 6-2 in Division Five North South.
Captain Ric Clarke scored alongside a brace for man-of-the-match Matt Downes and goals from Lewis Monk, Stuart Higginbottom and Rob Skelley.
Andy Power’s last-minute equaliser sealed a share of the spoils in the men’s firsts' 4-4 draw with West Derby firsts in a chaotic Division Two West contest mired in controversy as they had two goals inexplicably disallowed.
