OLD Stretfordians rose to top spot in Division One of the Lancashire and Cheshire Amateur Football League with a 3-0 win at Stoconians.

Strets capitalised after previous leaders Waterloo dropped their first points of the season as they were held to a 4-4 draw in a thriller with Salford Vics.

Strets now lead by a point though Waterloo have two games in hand.

Moston Brook put on their best performance of the season with a fine 3-0 win against Didsbury and Trafford United stay in third place after a comfortable 5-2 win against Oldham Vics.

The other game was a close affair with Milton edging a 3-2 win against Parrs Wood Celtic.

There was a big shock for Division B leaders High Lane seconds as they crashed to a 9-0 defeat at Salford Vics seconds and Milton seconds moved to the top of the table with a 3-1 win at Trafford United seconds.

There was delight for Signol Athletic thirds as they enjoyed their first win of the season accounting for Chorltonians Villa by the odd goal in five as Shola Adewola netted twice for Villa.

Dukinfield Athletic seconds won 4-1 against Rochdale Galaxy, thanks to strikes from Michael Russell and a hat-trick from star man Chris Meredith, and Hillgate were made to work hard for a 5-3 win against Bury Ams seconds.

Radclyffe AFC took over the lead in Division C with an emphatic 5-0 derby win against AFC Oldham thirds as Deans FC were held to a 5-5 draw by Chorltonians Athletic, whose goals were supplied by Andrew Lunt (two), Pat Davin, Luke Vaughan and Hayden Goldstraw.

It was also a deadlock between Old Strets seconds and Stoconians thirds in a 1-1 scoreline.

It is tight at the summit of Division D with Staly Lions keeping on top with a thrilling 4-3 win at Didsbury thirds.

Stoconians fourths stay a point behind with a game in hand after drubbing Trafford United thirds 8-1.

Whalley Range seconds picked up their first win of the season with a 4-2 victory over Moston Brook fourths.

The other games saw Bury Ams thirds beat Old Strets thirds 3-0 and Chorltonians Albion win a 4-3 thriller at Chadderton Park seconds.
