TIMPERLEY Cons won the battle of the top two in the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League when they emphatically saw off Central Club 6-1.
Dan Cross, of Timperley Cons, got them off to a flyer with a good win against Central stalwart Dave Wood before Central's in-form Andy McCormack hit back in the second game to level.
The third game was when the Cons really kicked on and every player from then was on fire, winning game after game against a tough Central side.
By the time Kevin Kelly and Ian McCulloch were ready to play their games, Cons had already won the match, but carrying on with the high standard the pair rounded things off with two more victories.
Elsewhere, Budenburgs had a tough match of their own against a solid Old Hall side, winning 4½-2½.
British Rail returned to winning ways with a 5-2 triumph against Gardeners, while Cringlewood beat The Station 6-1 – the highlight a 10-dart leg from Danny O’Donnell.
