A NONAGENARIAN bowler has said farewell to his teammates at Timperley after playing his last game there.
Giuilio Poletti, aged 93, has been a stalwart member of Riddings Bowling Club since 1989.
But now he has left the club as he and is moving from Timperley to Frodsham. The Club chairman David White thanked Giuilio and made a presentation on behalf of fellow members.
David mentioned Giuilio's bowling prowess, which has helped Riddings Club in their promotion from second to first division of the Timperley and District Veterans Bowling League this season.
Giuilio has for many years organised informal matches on Sundays and Bank Holidays during the bowling season. Giuilio is pictured (centre of front row) with some of his bowling friends on his last day at Riddings on October 1.
