CRINGLEWOOD fought back from 3-1 down to beat Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League leaders Timperley Cons in Monday's top-of-the-table clash.

After Cons surged into a 3-1 lead, Callum Loose started the fightback before Alan Dawson threw his personal best darts with a magnificent display of double and bull finishes to square things up.

The final leg saw Danny O’Donnell win the match and two valuable points to take Cringlewood level on points at the summit.

There is just one match left to play with Cons having the edge with a better legs average ahead of Monday night's final round of games.

Central Club moved into third place with a decisive 5-2 win against Budenburgs. Danny Hopkinson was the star of the show with a least darts throw of the season – an 11-dart leg.

Gardeners A team had their second win of the season, beating the Brigadier 5-2, while Gardeners B stayed in contention for a third-place spot with a 5-2 victory over Station.
