TIMPERLEY continued their recent poor run of form with a loss to Bramhall in a low-scoring game.

Timperley bowled first and were seemingly well placed after dismissing Bramhall for only 110 in 41.1 overs with Nathan Brown leading the way with 4-31.

He was well supported by Rudi Brenner, who took 3-26. However Timperley’s batting was not up to the task and they were dismissed for 101 as Chris Sanders finished with 6-26.

Chris Canning top scored with 29 and was assisted in the attempted push for a win by Craig Grindley (13) and Rudi Brenner (18).

The second XI made a better fist of it at Macclesfield, winning by five runs.

Batting first, they scored 233-8 with the principal contributions coming from Rob Prastka (72) and Shan Khan (62).

Mat Griffiths bowled well to take 3-45.

In reply Macclesfield were dismissed for 228 off the penultimate ball of the innings with Jim McCall taking four wickets, Oli Bevan three and Shan Khan two.

A depleted third XI drew with Poynton after trying to chase down 177-6, Hitesh Patel finishing with 3-25.

Timperley could only muster 86-7 from 45 overs in their reply as Arjun Takiar took 4-22. Martin Porthouse top scored with 23.

The fourth team were comfortable winners by seven wickets against Trafford Metrovicks.
