ALTRINCHAM'S George Brennan continued his impressive start to his career as he overcame tricky opposition in his second professional contest.

The 'Cereal Killer' overcame the challenge of Yorkshire's Anwar Alfadli who had come to cause an upset on the night, however Brennan remained calm and composed throughout and let his boxing skills do the talking.

The super bantamweight prospect gave his assessment of his second pro fight.

He said: "I felt like I won every round, I was comfortable in there and I enjoyed it.

"It was a great fight for me at this stage in my career as it was my first time doing the distance.

"I learned a lot from the fight, especially keeping my concentration because he was trying to deliver the knockout blow from all angles but I kept a calm head in the ring and stuck to my instructions."

It has been announced that Brennan's next fight will be at Bowlers Arena in Manchester on February 10, on a bill that

will feature many other exciting prospects from the North West.

It has emerged that Brennan has been sparring with former IBF bantamweight champion Paul Butler leading up to his next fight and Brennan weighed in on the all-round experience of sparring the former world champion.

He added: "I'm already back in training looking forward to February 10 at Bowlers and another four-round contest.

"It's been an amazing experience sparring Paul Butler as you learn something new in every spar.

"I can't thank Joe Gallagher and Paul enough for inviting me down as just being in the same gym with the likes of Scott Quigg, Hosea Burton and Stephen Smith was a great experience."

Brennan's career is being guided by Heywood's former Central Area champion, Kieran Farrell, and the likeable Cereal Killer opened up about life under Farrell's wing.

"Training under Kieran is great as he has so much knowledge which is shared everyday in the gym and I can already see the improvements.

"It's great to have someone like Kieran working with and for you, his determination, desire and his will to win comes shining through everyday and is a pleasure to work with."
